Is It Really March?
I remember when this whole blog thing first took hold. It seemed like such an interesting idea. Now that enough time has passed, and many blogs have evolved beyond their initial inceptions--so has mine. As a Professional Dominatrix, it has been my goal to some how set myself apart from my competitors. With increasing competition, sometimes this can be a challenge. My blog is the most recent aspect of my many endeavors to be rethought.
What do other Pro Dommes discuss in their blogs? Sessions, gifts, personal troubles, and travels. Does the world really need more of that? Do you really want to hear about ONE MORE SESSION. They always sound the same:
"I saw slave fill in the blank. He is such a good (insert pony/sub/masochist/sissy here). We had a session last night and he was SO obedient." Then more details about the session are sprinkled in, sometimes with information about going out to dinner afterward, etc.
Then there are the posts making the overt requests to BUY ME GIFTS BECAUSE IT'S CHRISTMAS/MY BIRTHDAY/JUST BECAUSE I NEED MORE THINGS. I love it when these types of posts are couched in verbage such as:
"Everyone has been asking me to update my wishlist, so here are some current items I would like..."
No, I no longer want to be lumped into those categories with my blog. I might write about a particularly interesting trip, but only if it some how sets itself apart from other journeys I have taken. I don't need to say anything more about places like New York or Amsterdam. I love both cities, but I need new content when it comes to my travel writing.
I regret that there are some out there who are still waiting for me to write about what I received for Christmas, where I have traveled to since October, and where I will be going to next. Truthfully, if you want to know those details, email me or start a thread on maxfisch.com. I'll keep writing about the tried and true topics there if I feel so inclined, but not on here any longer.
On that note, the one topic that I don't believe too many of my competitors discuss is the lateral marketing that they do of themselves. I happen to have a thriving video business that includes downloadable and streaming clips, as well as full-length DVDs. One of the accomplishments that I am most proud of in this area is my line getting picked up by two European companies. Thus, if you are a fan in Germany or France, my DVDs will be available for purchase in your region soon. I have already shipped to Germany, and the French order is in the works. That's a bit of different news how isn't it?
